What’s been happening:

After graduation I was employed as a Forest Ranger for the State of Ohio. This was followed by service in the US Army as a heavy weapons infantryman for 11 1/2 months before being wounded and sent back to the USA for 3 months of treatment. I worked for a year after that in Forestry but continuing problems from my wounds made me leave that field forever. I became a registered professional surveyor in Ohio and North Carlina and practiced in that field for many years. During that time I was exposed to GIS systems and computer programming and ran a consulting business in that area for the past 17 years. I am now semi-retired and still live in northern Ohio.
